Cyra ~ Freeform Crochet x 2

Hello again.

This week has seen the completion of two (yes two) accessories. Two cowls, or neck-warmers, very similarly put together, in slightly different colourways.

The fuchsia edged one ----

And the Purple edged one ---

I have also started on another rug for the mini house, but not enough of it yet for a photo.

We have survived the tornado that whipped through Opunake yesterday morning, The next village to us didn't fare so well in the tornado though, and I think 5 houses lost their roof and 3 more with major damage. The whole community is coming together for those left without homes.
The weather has definitely changed for the worse now, and we actually have the heater on in the lounge for a bit of respite from the unusual cold blast.

It's good time to stay inside and stitch (as if I needed an excuse).

Happy Stitching
Cyra

Judy ~ Fun Projects

Every January Wendy of Knitters Brewing Company features a sock KAL, and every year the pattern gets more interesting, er....... challenging.  This year celebrates her 10th year of doing this and started officially yesterday.  This is about half of my cuff, and I have no idea where it's going next.

Then, I happened onto another KAL for mitts, thanks to Tanna. (She has a really nice blog!)  I'm anxiously waiting for Clue 2 tomorrow and have decided to only tackle one mitt at a time.

My awesome sister made this pillowcase for me for Christmas.  Click on the photo to see the details as it's a great fabric for knitters.  (And she knows my favorite color is red!) She also made pillowcases for all of her seven grandkids. Isn't she amazing?

And besides that, she knit this fabulous scarf for me!  She's one crafty person, that's for sure. Isn't it great to receive something handmade just for you?  Hope you all are looking forward to a good week!

Suz: December 7

It's still milder than normal for this time of year: that means no snow so far. It may be a green Christmas. The day of our company's arrival is drawing closer, so the mad dash to finish everything is underway.

Things are looking Very Merry around the house. We're waiting for our company to arrive so they can help us decorate the Christmas tree.

I x-stitched this piece several years ago.

Jewel's blouse is now finished and I've begun sewing her a skirt.

Dear hubby's scarf is growing.....

Did I show you these before? Small fabric bowls I made for the Guild challenge. Perfect colours for the season.

I hooked Santa many years ago

One of the wreaths I've made hangs on the kitchen door.

That's it for me. I hope you've had a creative and fun week.
