Lots of catching up to do today. I can't really get close ups because my good camera hasn't been repaired.
Below, if you can see it, is the bonnet stitch, on the seam.
The flower below is the oyster stitch
Just below the flower is the up and down buttonhole.
I think ifyou click on the photo, you'll get a better view.
That should catch me up. I'll post more on my blog.

Really good progress, Deborah! Sweet flowers with the latest stitches too which is perfect for your quilt's theme.
All your stitching looks great. I really like that oyster stitch flower, the thread colors are so pretty.
I like that thread on the oyster stitch flower, too. The basque flower is nice, too. All the stitching looks great!
I am in love with the variegated perle cotton thread. I got that at Red Hen Fabrics, my quilt shop. I rarely buy fabric any more but they recently got some beautiful embroidery thread. The regular cotton thread is not DMC,but Sullivan and is much finer than DMC, and they have beautiful variegated colors.
I have one more block before I start on the center block. Remember back in January when I said oh well, there's plenty of time to worry about that?
Thanks, I like the way it's shaping up.
Thank you! It's all rather impromptu but it works for me.
Thanks so much Suz. I don't plan anything and maybe it shows; this has been a real learning experience but a fun one.
Your pretty flowers showcase that lovely variegated thread. The bloom with the French knots, basque AND bullion is ab fab, so much texture I can touch it from here. Great catch-up.
I love both your Basque flower and the Oyster flowers. Lovely block full of interesting stitches, and I like the chevron stitched ribbon around the photo of Aunt Peggy.
I love that you mixed he Oyster stitching in the middle of that basque flower. Great idea! I look forward to seeing this whole block all together.
