My week was spent finishing up the baby quilt for my niece and trying to finish a dress for my daughter. The quilt got priority. The dress would have been done if not for a pain in the tuchus zipper foot for the invisible zipper.
Here's the magic moment:
I hope she and the baby enjoy it for many years.

Oh I love the expression on her face, lol. What a fabulous moment.
Wow! The quilt is fabulous! She looks mesmerized.
Good size quilt--she'll be using it for a long, long time. Good for you, Deborah!
What a wonderful quilt. A lucky baby. Hope the zipper foot works better when you aren't under double pressure!
I may have to call upon a friend with an embroidery machine to make a label for me when the baby gets here (cough, cough). She will not divulge the baby's name!
I am going to have to spring for a decent zipper foot ($18.00) instead of that cheapo plastic one I've been using.
It was about 52" square, I think.
Her mother gave her a beautiful crocheted blanket, too. I wish I had a picture. It was really beautiful.
That's such an easy quilt, but looks like you've done A LOT of sewing.
Cough, cough! I was waiting for you to send the top to me to quilt.
Just let me know. I can easily embroider a label.
One lucky baby and mama, a wonderful quilt.
I knew you would but you were busy. I hated to take advantage of your good nature.
