Two more seams. Such fun to do!
Seam 33: From Carole Samples' book, page 39. I added the detached chains and the buttons, though. Yellow thread is Valdani 12 cotton. Variegated green is Sassa Lynne.
Seam 34: From Carole Samples' book, page 128. I added the button. Most of the thread is Sassa Lynne, but the tiny straight stitches are two strands of Cosmo Seasons 8062 variegated.

Susan: CQJP2015 Small Progress
One more seam. Still need beading on previous one, and I'm getting an idea for embellishment on the big one on red. I used one of the Carole Samples templates to trace this one.
Very slow progress.

Susan: Seams 53, 54, Embellishment 20
I'm excited about this week's work. Let's see how you feel.
Seam 53, seen on a block in Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stitches, Sassa Lynne threads:
Seam 54, using Carole Samples template, 32B; embellishers from p. 123, left side of page, 3rd row up from bottom (maybe 4th row, depends on how you look at it), but I opened up the chain stitches so they sort of look like tulips; tiny gold Delicas:
Seams 50, 53, 54 together:
Embellishment 20, pretty much made it up myself - used Sharon Boggon template for side curves, linen corner folded back:
Embellishment 20, linen corner in place:
Seams 53, 54, Embellishment 20 - love the way this looks!:
One more side seam, 3 across seams, and a corner, then this one is finished. Sorry, you can still see Frixion lines, haven't pressed the block yet. I think there will have to be a seam with silk ribbon roses. Aunt Bobbie loved roses. I dug holes for 200 bushes for her when I was a high school freshman.

Susan: August Reveal
Finally! Here is the finished August block, followed by some close-ups.
Added to Seam A:
Some red French knots - I stitched this based on the background piece, and it has a little more wonkiness than I usually allow, but I sort of like it.
Something a little different I saw in Carole Samples' book on page 124, but the picture on p. 146 where she did it on a fan blade was where I saw it first, and it's a little different there.
Just playing around with things.

Susan: August Seams
So I made blocks for August and September while I was missing, without action.
Then today, finally, I had a little stitching time! Here are the first three seams on the August block.
Someone mentioned in a comment a while back that they thought I hadn't repeated any seams. I'm trying not to, but I make no promises! All these seams came from flipping through Carole Samples' book, Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stitches.
