The little touch of purple in there is a nice surprise.

Gorgeous thread and lovely stitching! Variegated threads are so much fun to work with.

Those threads are so fun! I love this seam, too. Is this on one of your Mom blocks? Have you had a chance to sew last year's blocks together yet? I am so anxious to see how it looks!

It is. It's Aunt Bobbie's block. I decided to do it first to get my feminine practice back in so Suz's mom looks girly. =)

I haven't sewn the blocks together. They are by the cutting table, waiting for a trim, but I'm behind. Oh, woe is me. =)

Glad you got a bit of stitching done. Love the pops of colour at the tips of the feather stitch.

Thanks for all your positive reinforcement. I love feather stitching, so it was great to get back to something where I could use more feminine colors and designs with it.

I can certainly see more of the feather stitching on these blocks-seems so perfect.
