And the whole project, so far:

I'm working on the top border now, and have the bottom border partially pieced. I looked at places that I want to carry the stitching from one piece to another, across block and border piecing lines. I don't think I'll actually need to stitch across many, just carry the design over to the other side. I discovered from re-reading the rules that the whole project doesn't have to be finished, just 12 parts done. I can do that!

Beautiful! Fabulous! All your colors are just perfect and I love the fairies.
Wonderful to see everything coming together. Such lovely work, its truly deautiful.
You are coming to the dangerous part of CQ--oh, just a bit more or maybe something here. And, before you know it, more and more layers.
This is so very feminine and delicate! Truly a pretty piece, in all ways.
Very pretty!
Oh, no, that's really not a danger with me. =) There are blank spaces that I left for after joining, and those I'll fill in, but you can count on me being a minimalist rather than an encrusted CQer! LOL
Thank you for all your sweet comments. I've learned a lot on this project, and there are things I'd do differently starting today, but I really am pleased with it, overall.
The pastel colours are soft and delicate. Can't wait to see it with both top and bottom borders.
A minimalist CQer? Is there such a person?!
It's so pretty, Susan! I really like the way there's an itty bitty fairy in each of the borders, and your stitching is wonderful. What is the finished size going to be?
Beautiful!
This is amazing. A beautiful, delicate and delightful quilt. Suitable for all ages from 1 to 101, and will probably be on many peoples 'wish list'.
You have great style Susan. I now have a new appreciation for pastels and have also learned a lot from this project of yours. Thank you for sharing your work with us during the year.
Beautiful! The pieced border is really amazing and your blocks are delicate and magical.
LOL! Yes, there is! I can't deal with a lot of knick-knacks in my house or in my stitching. Which is not to say my house isn't a mess. =)
It's about 37-38" square. More or less. =)
Thank you all for your kind words. Many times when I finish something, I am simply happy to have it over. This time, I really like it. I will enjoy hanging it in my house ... somewhere or other!
Thank you, Cy. Your words mean a lot to me!
I think CQ brings out the obsessive side of my personality. I don't always like to be there so I have to do other types of stitching too.
