I want to apologize for not commenting on everyone's blogs the last couple of weeks. It isn't lack of desire, just time. The work being done is beautiful and deserves thoughtful comments.
This butterfly was given to me by a friend, and I decided the quilt needed one more, going with odd numbers for balance. This is my pistil stitch, and there will be some beadwork on the butterfly body, but no time today!

A beautiful butterfly and for a moment thought you had pistil stitched the wings! A perfect motif for this month.
I agree, pretty butterfly; and so many ways it could be embellished.
Very ethereal at the moment, I like the green beads!
I did! Pistil stitching ON the wings, at least.
French knots and pistil stitching! No beads on there yet. The green thread is Valdani varigated, one in 12 and one in 8. There will be beads later.
Love that butterfly! It sure looks like green beads on the ends of its antennae? Your pistil stitches blend in very well and almost look like they were always there! Can't wait to see the fairy better.
Oh, yes, the two beads are green, you're right. I didn't even think about them. They are so large, I spaced them. LOL. I think of beads as little things. I don't know what those big things are! From the same friend who sent the butterfly.
Apologies, there are two beads! Read explanation below. =)
This is very dainty pistil stitching! The butterfly looks airy and delicate, and your stitches work very well in the design.
You added a nice detail. Very subtle.
Love the butterfly. I can't wait to see what you do with beads added!
Every fairy should have a butterfly friend, they go together so well.
This butterfly is gorgeous, and your pistil stitches are a great addition. There is so much you could do to embellish it. Can't wait to see more next week.
I love the subtle elegance your pistil stitch makes for this lace butterfly.
