This site showed the same stitch upside down from Sharon's. Somehow I found it easier. http://www.embroidery.rocksea.org/stitch/blanket-stitch/up-and-down-blanket-stitch/
Here is Mary Corbet's video on how to stitch the Up and Down Buttonhole Stitch

Her tutorials are very good.
This stitch has that same leggy look as the Bonnet Stitch to me. I'll stitch it but I'm not sure my July block needs 2 stitches that look so similiar.
Have Mary's video added to the post. Thanks!
I had the same thought.
I really thought this week would be Basque Stitch, but what do I know?
Lets see if we can send the Basque Stitch 'vibe' to Sharon for next week, lol.
We all seem to be getting a bit 'blah' about the stitches over the last week or two. I wonder if it has something to do with being half way through the 'course' and expecting to be 'blown-away' with each new stitch we see. Or maybe we have just had enough.
I've been slacking lately and I need to find some more motivation if I'm going to complete my projects.
Getting out my 'stitch play' fabric and playing with this stitch freeform style might help me get my mojo back.
Carol, looks like you've fallen from your favored spot with Sharon!
