Debra: TAST-Bonnet Stitch

Here's my Bonnet Stitch for the week. I think it's a nice little stitch and must remember to use it often!   I've started my July block which is Green.
I don't normally add embellishments until last but thought I would mix it up this month and walk on the other side of the line!

Nice! Thanks for finding the good directions. I love the red embellishments on the black and white.

The red stitching makes the green pop! Your bonnet stitch is nice and even. I like the plaid, too.

Yes, yes, yes love it - colours, threads, buttons and fabrics - orange and green look so fresh, can't quite see whether the gingham ribbon is black and white or dark green. Great beginning of Bonnet.

It looks perfect! Apple green and apple red.

Makes a nice embellishment with the buttons on lace!

Red variegated thread that goes into a pink. Bl and Wh ribbon with red buttons. Thanks! I just used the corner in case I didn't like it but I did!

ha! Yep, I think so too--pretty classic color scheme.

Welcome, the directions helped me alot.

Thanks! This is going to be a little different block but I'll still be true to my Bl & Wh idea.

Yes, you should give it a try! *wink*

I love the use of complimentary colors, especially with the black and white added to keep it from having any sort of Christmas feel. Nice job on the bonnet stitch. It really works well as a ribbon edging doesn't it!

You'll be pleased to know that this month's block has some of the trim you sent me.

Your bonnet stitch looks great. I'm wary of trying it, but everyone's samples look crisp and nice.

Very nice Bonnet stitch. The red-pink variegated thread works well here, and I love that green fabric with the triangles.

Easy peasy and would be good on your block.

I was in a fat quarter exchange 1000 yrs ago and most of this greeen came from there. It's not a color I buy often (ever).

Happy to hear you can use it. It did have your name written on it.

At first glance I thought the little red buttons were ladybugs. Heh. You got really nice results from your bonnet stitch, and I love the color combo in this pic!

Thanks, I checked out Sharon's Highlights and there were some nice examples this time. We may have been a little hard on the stitch!
