My March page has Sarah traveling by train across Canada enjoying amazing scenery, making friends and recapturing the romance of rail travel. This months colours are orange, purple and green.

Love the ruffled trim and the landscape fabric! Nice.
You may need to tone down the white selvedge fabric with some tea (like Nancy).

Yes, the selvedges work really well with your theme, and the scrim really caught my eye. Nice running stitches, great material for your block, and, is Sarah coming to visit me?

I'd love to go across continent with her! Great ribbons, especially the Canada one. Is the scrim piece actually sewn into the block, or just held down by the stitches? It looks very much like a meadow in the close, close, close up.
I love the "Natural Discoveries" words! I do agree that the white seems blinding at the moment, though depending upon what you do with stitching and embellishments I might not feel that way at the end... or there's always the tea-dye option as others have mentioned. .. I do find the "(C) by" that follows the words somewhat unfortunate as it makes me focus on the selvedge nature rather than on the wording message. I wonder if some sort of embellishment or cluster to hide the (C) symbol would work?
I absolutely love the texture and color that you got with the running stitches over scrim!
My favorites: the incorporation of the running stitches on the scrim and the ruffle!
Scrim held down by stitches as I didn't want a clean edge.
Had to incorporate the "copyright logo" as the selvedge was quite small, but plan to cover later. Really like the idea of tea dye to cover the stark white as I don't envisage using this again on the block.
Perhaps on her visit Sarah could grab a pebble!!
The running stitches are great - I may incorporate more stitches like this as I go along - definitely creative! :)
Deborah, you might want to try some of these running stitches. They are very easy and look very pretty when finished.
That bit of landscape is perfect for your project. It's a nice touch.
