It's another weekend, and I'm always late because I mostly stay off the computer on Sundays. Here's a quick post, though, with my herringbone sampler and the February CQJP. I love the way it's coming along, and it's even faster than last month's!
Lovely variety on the herringbone sampler, and beautiful colour for the flower fairy block with the variegated threads and combination of stitches framing the fairy just right. I'm looking forward to seeing this one after you've worked some more magic on it.
Nice TAST variations and the colours work well together. The fairy block has a delicate, almost fragile feeling. Love the grape seam treatment and how it repeats the silky shades. Nice stitching.
Thank you all for your comments. Sometimes you point out things I hadn't even realized I was doing. I guess some parts of the process one's subconscious kicks in and dictates!
Very pretty and delicate Susan.. saw how you added the herringbone... gives it a geometric look in that spot that I really like, it changes it up. Your grapes are pretty too, I don't believe in matchy matchy... only machines can do that and if it is too matchy... well, enuff said. Do I see a cute little bird butt there in the lower area? And the lavender ribbon is a great match, read the story on your blog about how you came by it... cool

Very pretty work Susan. I love the curved stitch patterns you've incorporated. They match the feel of your block nicely.
Thanks! Knowing I'd never make them all alike, I made an effort to make them each different - more natural. LOL
