Suz - CQJP 2012--WIP

I don't know what happened-- I had my post all prepared and scheduled for Saturday at 2:00 p.m., but it didn't post. Maybe it was the connection problems I was having. Hmmmm, anyway, I'll try it again---better late than not at all, right?
Well, it was set for 4:00 and it still didn't post. Guess I'll have to do it myself.

Here's the first block for my Christmas wall hanging.

Here's what it looks like so far:

Lots more to do yet.
I've been working on the rest of the blocks for my wall hanging. Thanks.
Hugs from Suz

It's going to be fun to embroider those snowflakes! maybe you can add more to other blocks.

Very pretty, Suz. Interesting how the colors in the photos make the block look different, isn't it? I love your little flowers seam treatment! And the poinsettia fabric is lovely~~but then I've hardly met a Christmas fabric I didn't like! You've done a great job combining prints and plains....am anxious to see more!

Thanks Debra. I'll be adding more of the snowflake fabric to other blocks, too.

Thanks, Judy! I love the poinsettia fabric--soft and subdued colours, and pastel....so not like my usual choices. I love Christmas fabrics, too.

I like the way the red and green threads suggested apple varieties to me. I know that was because of the Christmas apple, but it has a happy feeling to it! Some snowflakes are perfect for some fly stitches, too, if you decide to go that way. =)

Really nice stitching Suz! I'm loving the snowflakes and can't wait to see how you complete your embellishing.

Thanks, Susan. Good to know it has a happy feeling, and thanks for the snowflake/fly stitch suggestion.

Thanks Connie. I'm wondering about that, too. lol
