Our snowy weather has been ideal for stitching and knitting. I've been trying to arrange my stitching thread according to the color wheel, so that's why this week's thread looks almost the same as last week's. It's not....it's called flesh, and I used it on SBS's arm. (Can anyone tell me where brown fits in?) In digging through my embroidery books, I found the Reader's Digest Complete Book of Embroidery languishing on the shelf. It had a couple of interesting variations on the feather stitch which I tried. You can see it took me a while to catch on to the closed feather. Then I had to figure out where to put the feather stitch in my SBS block. Can you find it?

SBS is getting cuter by the week. I visited your blog and your little grandson Max is adorable! It is wonderful to have grandchildren close. He looks like such a special little boy.

Kinda like an "Eye Spy" SBS, eh? You've got some beautiful even stitching going on too Judy. It's always fun looking through older embroidery books. There all new again when you don't look at them often.

Gotta love a stitcher with a sense of humor! Is the blue going to come out or do you have to be careful to stitch exactly on the line (like the old ones)?
I see it! I love the way you used the buttonhole stitch on the sleeve. It looks just like the little gathers!
