TAST Week 3 - Feather Stitch
Here are my experiments with Feather Stitches for this week.
And here is the journal page so far, with three week of TAST stitches.
I
feel sort of cheated, or hard done by, with this stitch because I was
very short of time to do any stitching this week, and I don't think I
have experimented with feather stitch enough for my liking yet.
I
may have to come back to 'play' with feather stitch some more when I
get some spare time, but at least I did manage to get a few rows done in
time for my weekly reveal on this blog.

I really like feather stitch, you can have a lot of fun with it and get so many looks out of it.
You have some nice samples on your fabric. So far I have felt like I could have played more with all of the stitches but had to limit my time due to the other projects. I left a few open areas so, as you said, more can be added later.
I like the feather stitch, but I never felt really comfortable about getting any variety out of it. I know it can be done because I've seen some great variations--I just have to practice some myself.
You look like you have it down Cy but I know how it is with no time to put to the task when you want it. I love how you did the curved j with the detachment as it goes from bottom to top... gives it a whole new look. Both you and Connie will have great reference to go back to with all these stitch variations.
Your journal page is looking great with all the stitch samples, and you have nice variations of the feather stitch. I like this. The colours you've used make it lively.
Your feathers stitch looks great to me. I just love the way you dyed the fabric....makes me think of spring!
I think your feather stitch looks like sea plants against the colors in your fabric.
I'm feeling pressed for time too, but I figure any stitching is a step forward.
It's so interesting the difference your background makes as a canvas for your experiments. Continue forward! Great stitches-all of them.
I enjoyed looking at your stitches. That first one intrigues me. I'm going to have to play with that one a little. There's never enough time, is there?
