My hands did cooperate with me and let me start a new piece of cross-stitch while I was in the hotel room. the carpel tunnel has been bad the last year or so, so handwork has not been real doable.
And I managed to get some work done making the sample for my pattern that will be featured as part of a blog hop in September.Everything is fused down and it's ready to layer and quilt, but I'm not really liking the very light colored building on the left side. It feels like it stands ut too much too me. So I'm thinking I need to put another piece of something darker over it so that it all works better. skyline is Boston, blue is the Charles River/the Atlantic Ocean.

Hope the wedding was fun.
I agree about the light building, it kind of sticks out.
Your stitching is gorgeous! My atheletic trainer taught me an exercise for my hands: Press them together in front of you with fingers straight, as if praying. Gently roll them down toward your tummy and come up again. I do this several times 4-5 times a day. He tells me, "If it hurts/doesn't help, stop immediately." Thanks to what he's taught me, I am off all my pain meds! I hope it helps you! Your sample is lovely and another colored building will blend in well as you thought. It's so pretty, I actually gasped when I saw it! Congratulations on such a great design!
Miaismine - Thanks for the info on the hand exercise! I'll definitely try it. And than you for your very kind words about my sample. It is mos appreciated!
And yes, the wedding was fun. Had a great time spending time with out of state friends.
