A bit more of the second darkest blue was added this past week. I'm having a hard time getting into this piece. It takes concentration and I'm pretty brain dead by the time I get home from work. Or it could still be the heat and humidity. One excuse is about the same as another but I will keep trying.
I've added a little story from St John's life on my blog.

Close color changes are really hard, and you're right, they do take lots of concentration. I totally forgot that today is Tuesday...the summer brain in action! LOL
A little bit every day will see it finished eventually. Hang in there! It does look very pretty.
The shading on the feet really adds a painterly look. It must be hard to work on this at the end of the day. I know my eyes don't see color as well in the evening.
I think I'm having a weird day... I just saw an image of Elvis in your stitching.
It is getting harder every year. I have to use 2.50 readers and a strong light.
Cool, do you think I could auction it off on Ebay and make tons of money? Oh, wait I think it would probably have to be Jesus or Mary to do that.......but you never know!
That little bit every day is what I keep telling myself.
This is going to be stunning, really beautiful!
