Here's a detail of the flowers that go in the triangles around the border.
Still have a few more to go, but they are coming along quickly and I should have this done in a couple of weeks. I still have my niece's quilt to bind - the shower is SATURDAY - and I'm making my daughter a new dress to wear as well. So, how much sewing I'll get done on the quilt top is uncertain.

I like the flowers and the colours. Are they the same design as in the center? The yellows tie it all together nicely.
Looking lovely Deborah. Isn't it great when you can see a project almost finished. It gives you the encouragement to carry on and get it completed when you can see the finish line, lol.

Just a thought here--it would be lovely to have your mother's photo appliqued inside the middle circle. I hope you plan to hang this & your other appliqued piece near your CQ piece as a trio. It would be a grand statement on a wall.
The center reminds me of spring flowers and the outside of late summer, very pretty!
