Happy August
The heat wave is waning and we've had several thunderstorms this past weekend. Wind, rain and hail. When the hydro was working, I spent some time stitching.
The bridge joins different pockets together
progress
the next photo shows pencils extending from the pockets on this piece
8 pencils= 8 pockets, so far.......
I'm experimenting with a doodle cloth
adding texture and layers
more branches and leaves to come
the Purple Project is progressing with 9 blocks pieced. Some need trimming and edging with a zig-zag stitch.
I have lots more fabric left over, so I may just make a few more, then the titivations can begin!
I hope you've had a fun and creative week.
Hugs from Suz

Oh wow - love that bridge, and all those pockets. Looking forward to seeing where your doodle cloth experiments take you.
I don't know where you come up with all your creative ideas, you must have a brain that never sleeps, lol.
Using pencils to show pockets was clever! The doodle cloth looks like another interest project. You do so many different things. There's never enough purple in the world. =)
The "branches" in your embroidered flowers will add a lot of wonderful texture. As usual, very creative work.
I always love to look at your projects as they are so creative! We sure could use some rain our way. We've only had 6/10ths of an inch since June 1! It's been incredibly dry and hot for the PNW.
