Here's the progress on the peacock, he's all in split stitch with 3 strands of DMC cotton.
The body is done and wing is nearly so. After the wing is done I will finish the poor headless bird. Then will come the fun part of embellishing the tail!

The purple wing is a great color choice.
Nice progress made Angela. The purple and blues are great together. Can't wait to see the head appear, but that looks like a 'thick' area of denim to stitch through, so I hope your hands and fingers hold out till the end.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with the tail. I kept thinking there was something not quite right about the head. =) This is going to be so fabulous, and there's no amount of money someone could pay me to do all that work for someone else! Beautiful!
