I wondered how hard it would be, even on just the denim, but it will be SO gorgeous when completed! Are you putting any jewels in the tail?

Definitely there will jewels, beads and maybe sequins.
This is going to be gorgeous. Do you pull the needle through the fabric with a pliers? That's one way to tackle the layers.
I haven't needed to yet, but I've thought about it. I used to have a rubber needle grabber thing but I can't find it since I moved. The Walmart here is small and doesn't have a lot of stuff and we rarely drive the hour to Abilene.
My hands would be a total wreck! I am sore after just a little bit of stitching! Your work is beautiful.
