Hi everyone! I hope you've been having a good week. We've had rain storms and high humidity so it's been a good week to stay indoors and stitch. Besides, there's less than 2 1/2 weeks before the wedding, so I need to be using my time wisely.
I've made some progress on the wedding piece, so will post a whole lot of photos to show how it's all developing. I'd love to have your feedback, comments and suggestions.
Hope you Have a great stitchy week ahead!
hugs from Suz

WOW!!!!!!
Love all the intricate work on this, if they don't love and appreciate it they are flat out crazy.
Thank you, LadyH! I love how this is coming together. A bit more to do here and there, touches to add to the right side, and then just the top portion to do..........
That is simply amazing. You have so much time and effort invested. I hope it is appreciated!
This is just stunning! So much lovely hand stitching and work has gone into this...I am sure they will absolutely love it...I know I would...a great treasure for them to pass down to future generations...you will have this finished in no time at all...well done!
Ooh, ooh, OOH!!
That is a LOT of eye-candy Suz.
I love the Kantha style flower petals. And I've seen an exquisite stitched heart in there that I might 'pinch' for my heart quilt.
Overall this piece is an exceptional piece of art, but what makes it even more exceptional for me are the little details like the leaf shapes stitched at the end of the branches, and like the swirly tendrils, and like the bullion (or maybe they are buttonhole bars) roses.
Thanks CQ4fun. Many hours, yes, but happy ones because they were spent stitching!!
I sure hope you're right about that 'finished in no time' Wendy....lol....I have fallen in love with this piece, but I don't think they'll let me keep it.........maybe I'll have to make myself one like it....... ;-)
Thanks Cy! Pinch the heart....it was a happy little accident that I just love. I did the roses in Cast-on stitch with bullion centers.....I'll probably be adding a few more of those......

Cy, you're going to have to tell me which are the Kantha style flower petals, because I don't know what they are.
Suz, this is an absolutely stunning piece. As the others have said, you've created a wonderful family heirloom, and I, too, hope it's fully appreciated. Beautiful work!!!
I am speechless! This is not to be believed, it is so gorgeous! You are creating a masterpiece, Suz!
Fox : O
Suz, the Kantha style petals are on the big flower with the pinkish background, 5th photo down.
Thank you so much, Fox! It has been consuming my thoughts and my time, but I really love creating it. I am definitely going to make another for myself--not the same, but with many of the same elements in it. I'll have to do some more planning.....yay....
Hugs
Thanks Judy. If they don't like it, I'm taking it home with me! teeHee
Thanks Cy. I didn't realize that's what I was stitching! :-O
When ever I see something like this I smile, I know the feeling and how you get lost in your work! it fun to see and glad you shared this!
Wowza! Thank you for sharing all of your photos. I so enjoy seeing all the details. I'm so lucky to be a part of this group, you are a master at CQ! Maybe the lucky couple will let you borrow it back now and again. lol. It's just amazing, hope you're very proud.
Thanks Mad! Yes, the hours just seem to melt away, and then I am brought back down to earth: "Hey, Sue, what's for supper?!" ...lol!....
Aww, thanks Fitzy. I'm still learning CQ and surface embroidery, but I'm having tons of fun! Since it's my BIL and fiancee who'll be receiving this, I'll get to visit it every once in a while. ;-)
This is just exquisite Sue, you have created a wonderful treasure. There is so much to see and be enchanted by.
Oh, Shirley, thank you for those lovely words! I've been working on the top portion and hope to have all the stitching finished in the next few days. Then it will be time for adding the beads.......not too much bling, but more like seed bead pearls.....well, that's the plan so far. It has to be delivered next week! Accckk! Hmmm, maybe the garden will have to wait....... ;-)
Hugs
