Some stitching fun was had this week
The 'sun' puff started life as another project last year, but it was not suitable for that in the end, so it has ended up on this patch with embellishment.
Velvet heart
And a flower
I make no excuses for putting bullion stitches in the middle instead of French knots. I had my fill of FK's last week.

Love the sun! Such fun that it found a home in this project.
No excuses needed. Bullion looks fabulous in the middle. I love the way you used the fabric of the sun and embellished it.
Love that sun! And the bullions. I would think you've done a life time's worth of FKs this past week? The heart is very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing this quilt finished! It is going to be awesome.
I like the bullions in the center. And I love Mr. Sun! I can almost feel the heat.
Wow! Each part is exquisite and so very colorful, LOVE IT!
I LIKE the bullions. It gives it rhythm...like just Mother Nature!
Your sun looks like a Laurel Burch fabric. Your work is always a favorite each week!
Thanks Moira. I have lots more 'golden oldies' that might get their five minutes of fame on this quilt too.
Cheers Susan. My son says this piece makes his head dizzy, lol. I think he means the background fabric.
Thanks Judy. Its one of those quilts that keeps morphing as I work on it.
I was in need of stitching something cheery to take my mind off of all these packing boxes.
Colourful yes. And slightly psychedelic I was going for.
Thank you Fitzy.
Thank you Debra. Sadly, all my fabric is packed away now, so I cannot look at the selvedge label to see who produced this piece. Remind me to look it up when I unpack at the new place in a year or two haha.
I think that is a splendid idea. It will give so much meaning to your piece.
