Just a quick post this week. Here's my progress on the September block:
the french knot seam treatment was enhanced by cast-on stitch and chain stitch
fly stitch with french knots
a vine meanders through this 'trellis' fabric, and has sprouted green leaves
September is coming along......
Progress on my wrapping cloth piece #8 has been a little slow this week. I did manage to almost finish the stitching along both edges of the lace on the wild cloth...
layers of cast-on stitch on the top edge
bullions along the bottom
just a few more stitches to finish
and then just this short vertical seam to embellish
sorry for the glare.......
piece #8 is almost completed!
Hope you have a great week ahead. Happy stitching!
Hugs from Suz

That's a whole lotta cast-ons there Suz! OMG! But so pretty!
The vine on the trellis is so original with the cast-on leaves.
Love your September block! Your French Knot treatment is really unique and I think it gave me an idea - nothing that looks like yours, but it sparked something! Thank you. Love that vine, too.
Your September block is beautiful. Love the colours of your stitching on it. Such a lot of lovely new work on your wrapping cloths. A time-guzzler I am sure.
My official favorite part is the vine with leaves!
I have to throw in another vote for the vine/trellis. Very creative. It all looks beautiful.
Your September block is full of so many lovely details!
Thanks, everyone! I hope to add a large rose to the trllis/vine part. Fingers crossed. Or maybe several small roses if the large doesn't work out.....
that should really be pretty-large or several small roses-
Great colors on your Sept. block, Suz. And you've done all that stitching with a little one in the house. Good job! BTW, it looks like you've got that cast on stitch down to a science, a real testimony to the value of practice!
Thanks Judy. I have been practicing.....teehee
Hmm, looking at the block again, I think 1 large rose would compete too much with the lace rose in the center, so, it'll be several small ones then.
