I do have a question for anyone.......I purchased some new threads but having difficulty threading my needle what or how do you deal with this problem. The green I used under my flower is sort of a stretchy knit about 1/4" wide, I ended up braiding it then sewn in down.

I fold a tiny piece of paper in half, slip the thread inside and then push the paper through the eye of the needle.
I do what Deb does with yarns and thicker threads. Needle threaders don't last with this stuff much beyond the paper threaders! And paper is cheaper. =) However, I like what you did, and I usually am tempted to do the couching myself, because most of the needles with big enough eyes don't have a sharp enough point for me! If it's too much work, I won't do it, and I know it. Your block looks good. I wasn't sure about that daisy piece before, but with the green braid couched down under it, I really like it now!

Love that silkie! I've not tried the folded paper technique but have used the flossing dealies to get threads through beads.

I hope you get to feeling better quickly and please do be careful. I fell outside a couple of years ago and sat in the rain until someone heard me yelling for help to get up, sprained my ankle and pulled a tendon.

I use the paper too but was curious if any of you had different ideas.
I guess if it is okay next month I will work on a UFO that I started at least 8 years ago. It is embroidery, I call it Southern Belle as she has the big skirt n parasol. I 'm not sure or remember how many I have as I was planning on making quilt.

Southern Belle sounds like fun! I remember an iron-on stencil of a lady in a billowing gown, bonnet and with a parasol. I wonder if it's the same?
When I find the one that is done I'll post it. :>) the secret is finding it.

When I have a needle and thread that I just cannot thread...... I pass it to my son to do for me, lol. Young eyes are the best, hahaha.
