Darn that one stitch. It went wonky! It looks worse in the picture than IRL.

Progress on February (outline stitch, feather stitch, herringbone stitch):
And this is the Triangular Feather Stitch. Am I the only one who looks at this and sees bear paw prints?

That is the sweetest little face on that girl!
Your stitch combinations look very good. I especially like your tied herringbone with the arrow stitch through the middle.
Nice seam treatments, Susan! I really like #5 in the red and variegated blue.
Isn't it nice to be able to use prints like polka dots to line up stitches? It's all looking great, I especially like the curvy bit to the right of the little girl.
I love this block, Susan. What a fun theme, and so different from the fairies! Lovely stitching, too, plus a perfect post for this President's Day holiday.
Your theme is really turning out great! I like the way it is coming together.
Your Stitches always look so neat!
Way-to-go Susan. Great stitch combinations and experiments going on here on this block. My favourite is the 'windmill' looking feather stitch on the 3rd photo. I also like the wavy line stem stitch. Happy Presidents Day (whatever that may be, lol)
That was fun to do. I just kept adding things until it looked finished. Still debating about beads on this project. Haven't put any on yet.
I thought it would be nice, but those little dots can really make you cross-eyed! That curvy part was done in #5 DMC, which I rarely use, and I think is responsible for the pain in my wrist this week, so I'm glad you liked it. Makes it worth the pain that someone likes it! LOL
Celebrating Washington and Lincoln's birthdays. =) Or a Monday off work, whichever way one looks at it.
Thanks! The windmill is just straight stitches. That block is straight stitches and buttonhole and back stitch. And whatever embellishers I need. That was an idea that actually worked out for filling all that space!
Thanks for all your kind comments. I'm feeling a little unsure? insecure? exploratory? as I begin this project, so I appreciate your opinions on how it looks. I think I will be caught up by the end of the month, and ready to make and embellish more blocks!
