In case anyone has run out of projects I thought I would share a link to a blog I like to read. This latest post is on embroidered tangerines, the peels that is. Take a look at more Here.
I haven't looked at the link yet but wanted to comment first. It would also be interesting to see the effect on the embroidery as the fruit decomposed.
I think it's interesting, but a lot of embroidery work for something that you eventually have to throw out. I imagine the designs might become distorted with the shrinkage....I prefer clove-studded citrus for the aroma, myself. But, that's just me. I think if I were to be putting in time embroidering, I'd want to create something useful as well as decorative that I could enjoy for a long time. Nice tidbits about the history, though, and the knowledge that the orange aroma lifts one spirits being scientific fact is also cool.
The question I am asking myself about all possible projects is: Is it worthy? It's amazing how many ideas are biting the dust before they barely find a spot in my brain. *wink*

Since it is just the rind, I think it may just dry out and shrivel a bit.
In her write-up she says you can put them around the house for scents.
