Progress! Not enough, but almost finished. I worked all afternoon on Thanksgiving, and I had forgotten how much time beading takes. There's more beading to be done, and a couple of places to fill in with something, not sure what yet. I will move on to border 2 next week anyway, catching the rest of the beading in between seams on that one.
Some new details:

Well, Yea! Beading is a time-consuming part of CQ, especially with seed beads!!
This is just gorgeous from the colors to the stitching. I especially like those dangle heart buttons, that was an excellent use!
But the results are so worth it! This is beautiful, Susan.
Time consuming, but well worth the effort. Some lovely seam details with threads and beads, looking gorgeous.
I've been thinking about this comment and I think it sounds a little snarky. Forgive me.
I was thinking of my own process when I wrote it; how I think something will be easier or take much less time than it actually does take. It's not a lesson I have learned.
Thanks for all your kind comments. It's moving slowly, but it is moving. =) I'll try to get border two stitched up Monday so I can work on it, too.
