ha! Ha! love your heart idea!
Here I thought I was doing good to get my Aug block pieced today. Phew!
No pressure then!
Like your idea of using AE as a filling stitch, looks all frothy and light especially in a variegated thread. Gold on your August CQJP block looks very expensive!
Thanks Debra. ;-)
Carol, I had a bit of a problem doing that, as I should have drawn it out first. It's a bit more difficult on a fabric with a fine weave, I think. Live and learn. lol I'm glad the gold looks expensive: I was after a rich, decadent look. Thanks.
Rich and decadent it surely is.
All the gold accents are very nice on your August (!) block.
I'm loving the gold too. I think I must be part magpie, I love shiny things.
Your heart is adorable and I love the handmade feel you get with it being 'unbalanced'.
Love that heart! What a neat idea to use the AE as a filler; I need to remember that. A Christmas rose and a very nice addition to the rest of your blocks!
Love the Bling that all this gold brings to the block. And the random swirlyness (if that isn't a real word then I think it should be) of the couched gold on the right is great.
Great A-eye's too Suz. Well done for completing your August block so soon. Time now to relax and enjoy the visit from your family member.
Swirlyness is definitely a word in my vocab! My DD and family are arriving at our home mid-August and staying (in between forays to other areas)until mid-October. I still have lots of work to do on my CQJP's to get ahead! I just wish I could do that with TAST, too. lol
