Susan: May Reveal of CQJP

Finished as it is going to be for now. When I join blocks, there is going to be more in the corners of all the blocks. There will also be a bit more beading here and there. It was a lot of fun to do some of these seams. Overall, I'm happy with it, though it isn't my favorite one. Too much pink!

Too much pink or not, I LOVE it! Nice work, Susan. My favoritest part is the bouquet of roses.

LOL, but you LIKE pink! It suits the flower fairy, and since this challenge is all about doing things I don't normally do, it suits the challenge, too. =) Thx!

OMG! I was blinded by the bling!

and awed by the pretty stitching!

You've captured the essence of your fairy silky, it all looks quite lovely. The right hand seam treatment with the vine, straight stitches and French knots is particularly attractive and your bouquet of roses perfectly placed. Love the colours, pink and very girlie.

Very sweet and springtimey (yes, I say that IS a word). I've always loved the flower fairies.

Susan, this is such a pretty block. I agree "springtimey" is a word and it fits this block. You have several nice seam treatments on this block. You've done a nice job combining various stitches.

Very funny, Debra! =) I know alla y'all don't find it blingy, but since I rarely use anything but the tiniest of Delicas or triangle beads, it's quite bling-like to me. LOL

And thank you for the compliment, too. =)

Thanks, Carol. I love to do that seam with the curves and the straight stitches. The French knots on that seam are actually size 11 Delica triangle beads from UBeadIt in Sacramento. They are like a very short bugle, but with three sides. UBeadIt

Springtimey sounds good to me. =) All the Flower Fairies have that feeling. Wait until you fairy and spring lovers see how pretty the June block is. I like the colors much better, and have great plans already!

Thank you all for your compliments!

:-)! "alla y'all"?, you from TX, gal?

Born in Sacramento, CA, grew up in Odessa, TX 'til the age of 9. =) Everything's bigger in west TEXAS, ya know. But no, I don't have a southern accent, just that certain things seem to fit. y'all is singular, alla y'all is plural. LOL.

Very pretty. I do love pink. Love the bouquet of roses. I'm still wrestling with the bullion.

I still like the half chevron stitching, the butterfly, and the blue sequins seam.
And I've just noticed the gorgeous 'invented' stitching above the butterfly.
