The beads in the corner came in a package someone sent, and I intended to pass them along in a package to someone else, knowing I'd never use them. However, here they still sat, and it seemed a good place for them, pulling pink over to this green side of the block. This isn't individual beads, but one of those chain-of-beads things.
The dragonflies were inspired by one of Kathy Shaw's recent seams on a RR block. The butterfly chain is from an example on PinTangle. I really liked it, and probably will use that again somewhere. There is more I'm adding to that treatment, in PINK, but I didn't get to it yet. I had to think it up first.
I have one larger area left for this week (probably some V-stitching in there!), and some smaller stuff to finish, too, before the block is ready, but I think I like it.

I have been edging toward lavendar so if I can do that, you can edge toward pink!! (I love pink! and orange!)
Dragonflies, butterflies, flowers, throw in a little lace and a few beads, what more could one ask for, very pretty and feminine.
Looks very nice. In this shot it resembles a lacy collar with a pink pearl necklace, very 50's.
Lifelong dislike, intertwined with some emotional issues. This is not changing. =)

I like this even if it IS pink. lol
The chain on the diagonal is certainly different and that adds some movement and flow to the stitch. This block is very appealing.
Yes, I agree with Ladyhawthorne, it does look like a lace collar until we realize we are looking at a corner tilted vertically.
I have the same life long aversion to pink, probably because when growing up every room in my mother's house had some 'pink' in it in some way, which at that time pink and black were really popular! NO pink for me. I even have a difficult time with it in the garden!! But now give me orange and red... Ohhhh La La!!

I like pink, love lavender and really have no aversions to any color, nor do I blame my mother (for that). For the record though, orange is probably my least favorite. I think your stitching fits in the space nicely. The angles add much more interest to this patch than if you had created a straight row.
A good variation of the butterfly chain stitch, and I love those variegated threads.

No, I think mothers take the rap for more issues with people than any other relative.
Emotional issues are the hardest to overcome. And color can be a really deep trigger for them. Bravo to you for being willing to work with a color that must be like nails on a chalkboard to you!
Your dragonflies are adorable, and they show up really well against the pale sage green background. I also really like your butterfly chain with the ties done on diagonals, and the bullion flowers in the lower right corner. :)
I'll join the chorus on the neckline visual. It definitely looks like a neckline, a yoke line, and even shoulder seams to me!
