Wonderful interpretation of the stitch! Yes, I can see that India is going to want alot of sparkly beads! Pretty, rich colors in your fabrics too.
Opulent is definitely the word!
This is going to be another wonderful block. I really like your crossed buttonhole stitch over the ribbon along with the detached chain. You all are going to make me like this stitch yet...if I ever get my supplies back.
Also, with purple you can't possibly go wrong in my mind.
That Sarah sure gets around! Very nice stitching and in the colors of our WA Huskies no less. Now that you're in India, you'll surely have to check out those Shisha mirrors. You'll have fun embellishing this block, that's for sure!
And my first thought was, "Boy, that's alot of purple!" LOL! (we have such fun in this group!)
Not sure how I am going to make it through 3 months of purple (via my color wheel plan). Maybe I will come away with a new appreciation for the color!
Understand long long ago purple was the most expensive colour to dye and perhaps that is why is was associated with royalty.
At least I shall be pleasing some of our group if only for the WA Huskies.
Wish I could take a very quick course on Shisha mirrors as they must surely be represented.
I see a lot of purple down my way with Mardi Gras, It's all about opulence and royalty too. Have you ever been to India?

Didn't we have a link last week or so? I think it would be easy enough to do on your own--basically, it's the buttonhole stitch.

Yes, me too. That is why I have staggered posting for the entries because I have had that problem in previous groups and people get upset when they write their post and get bumped.
I think it is called "enabling" but I'm not sure! LOL.
