Maybe next week you can post your 2 blocks next to each other. Are they a pair? I would be interesting to see how they look.

Very fantasy like--this one is!

Does that sampler say Wii? Like the game? LOL, I love it! I especially like the green vine up the right side. That looks great! The whole block seems to have gone quickly for you.

Wow. Love the block. The green button and white beading at the end of the green trim looks great. Lovely stitching all over.

Good work on the chevron too. Nice variety, and I like your WIT.

Hi Debra, they're not really a pair, but I am using the same materials, and the same basic pattern. I'll do that next week,as you suggest, and post them side by side. Thanks.

It was supposed to be WIT, but, gee, WII works, too. I hadn't thought of that.

The block is wonderful and I really want to try a vine like yours. Your practice piece is great too, makes mine look rather boring. lol.

Your use of white thread creates nice contrast and texture. This block is shaping up nicely.

Love the vine and berries at the top of your block.

Suz, your block is wonderful! The white is so playful and perfect for the block. There is so much nice stitching going on yet the dark block with the berries remains a focal point. Nice uses for the Chevron!

I think my favorite is the beaded button flower at top! I like the vines too and see how nice the bullion/pistil stitch is to make leaves. Thanks for the idea. Your tatted piece found a nice place atop that vine too.
You're doing great with your idea of how all these will come together in your piece at the end and you're tying your theme together nicely. I'm sure the snow on Turtle Island is keeping the winter spirit alive for you still :)

I really love the white stitching on red ground cloth! and your red-and-white beaded "candy cane" really captures my eye. My very favorite is the green vine with bullion leaves. I love the clustering of the bullions, and they are beautifully executed!

Thanks Peacock. The white really shows up on the red, doesn't it? I love the green vine, too, and really enjoy making the bullion knots, though I sometimes struggle with them.
