Deborah: TAST, Week 7, Detached Chain

These are all pretty simple applications of the laisy daisy, which I use constantly to enhance other stitches. It's a very handy stitch.

Here's my AAQI piece . More about this on my blog

I've had this button for years. I drew the circle to give me some perspective on the placement of the flowers.
Okay so this is it, where the magic happens.  Semi-organized chaos. :-)

Crazy computer this morning :-(

I use the lazy daisy stitch a lot too and must agree it is a handy stitch Deborah. Your block looks very pretty. You are ambitious! That basket button is perfect for a sweet little bouquet. I need to get ready for work but plan to check out your blog later and see what AAQI is all about.

I haven't been CQing for long, but I also haven't used the lazy daisy very much. I now see that it can be quite useful.
Love that basket button, and your bouquet.
Off to check your blog.

I absolutely love the flower pot button and what you did with it. That is so cute, I think I have to ransack my CQ things, as somewhere in there I believe I have one of those buttons, or a similar charm, or something of that kind.

I like your whole block. It has the simple, clean lines I like, yet it has embellishments, like the buttons on the lace flowers. I went to your blog to get a closer look at all of it together, and it's beautiful.

I was so happy to finally use the button. I've always thought it was so cute.

Thanks, Susan. I sometimes wonder why I hang on to small pieces of fabric, but eventually I find a use for them.

Congrats on finishing another AAQI piece Deborah. It's a beautiful piece too. Lots of areas of interesting stitches.

I am guilty of hanging onto too much stuff. This year is "use it or loose it" time. What I haven't used by the end of the year I shall get rid of in some way. It's time to de-stash.

Thank you Cy. I'm absolutely amazed at how long I hang on.

Deborah, You've reminded me that I have one of those flower pot buttons too! I have to find it and use it in my project. Your block is really charming, and I love that you've included vintage linens.
