Susan--Chevron Sampler and CQJP update

I really enjoyed playing around with the size of the Chevron stitch. Here's the sampler. I love the triple overlapped one and need to find the right place for it. The tall and short will show up somewhere, too.

Here's the latest work on the CQJP. I need bazillions of beads, but I'm going to hold off on those until the end. There's more stitching to do on the stairstep seam, too, but this is as far as I got on Saturday night.

Beautiful work on your TAST sampler this week,Susan. I am relly loving the varigated thead and it's so pretty here in your stitch.
I like the stair step seam on your block... lots of ways one could work that. I'm really liking the colors and how you're working them.
You are so smart (patient) to be able to hold off on your beading till the end!

Ohhh, I really like the way you placed the trim pieces amongst the feather stitching. Very magical looking!
Such a lovely project with a delicate look--very feminine and pretty!

I love the variegated thread too. I almost bought some yesterday; now I think I will have to return to Hobby Lobby tomorrow. It is a delicate piece, very in keeping with the fairy theme! Lovely.

Lots of pretty stitching, on both your TAST project and your CQ block. Wonderful colors! I really like that triple overlapped chevron stitch too.

The combination of the stitching and the lace appliques is especially pretty.

I love the variegated threads on your TAST, and the triple chevron. It looks really interesting overlapped like that.
Your block is so pretty and delicate. The pastels are perfect with the fairies.

I agree the triple overlap chevron is fabulous, as is the short and long variation. Your CQ block is coming along very nicely! I love the way the embroidered grapes (or hyacinths, maybe) echo the purples in the fairy's flowers.

I like the chevron with the lazy-daisy stitch on your cq block. And nicely done chevron circle next to the fairy.
I can't wait to see what you do with the stairstep seam.
Chevron sampler is great too. What good fun we've had with that stitch.

It is easy to become addicted to variegated thread--it adds so much interest to the process of stitching and to the finished work.

Love the colors in your sampler and your variations. Your fairy block is already beautiful...and beads yet to come!

Thank you so much for all your positive comments. I appreciate it! I very much like how this block is progressing. I've bought more flower fairies so I can finish the project blocks. I'm toying with the idea of doing a 2 x 4 horizontal arrangement with 4 borders. That could hang above my entertainment center nicely. We'll see what I think next summer. =)
